ABOUT MWM

MEET MOLLIE

Hey, I'm Mollie! I'm a Level 4 Qualified Pilates Instructor based in Southampton, Hampshire and I'm a huge believer in the positive ripple effect that Pilates can have across our whole well-being, and I'd love to share that with you!

Having danced from a very young age, Pilates was a staple in my training and something I have always enjoyed. I went on to train professionally in Dance and Musical Theatre, after a brief stint performing for a living (and one global pandemic later), I decided to transfer my skills and retrain as a Pilates instructor. It's the best decision I've ever made.

If I'm not on my mat you can usually find me on the sofa watching Gilmore Girls, travelling to new places, hunting down the best local coffee spots, stroking cute dogs, or simply by the sea!

My mission as your instructor is to help you move in a way that feels good, not just in your body, but in your mind too. Afterall, we spend our whole life living in our body and mind, we owe it to ourselves to make them a nice place to be!

WHY PILATES?

how long have you got?

Now we've got to know each other a little better, let's tak Pilates. So, you're thinking of giving Pilates a go but you've got questions; What is Pilates? Who can do Pilates? What are the benefits? etc etc etc. As a long-time Pilates-lover and instructor I might be biased, but Pilates is AMAZING. Looking to improve your core strength? Pilates. Want to increase your mobility? Pilates. Want to improve your balance and posture? Pilates. Fancy a little more you-time? Pilates!!!!

Okay, it's not as simple as that shouting Pilates and all your problems being solved, but it can be so transformative in so many aspects of our well-being.

In a nutshell, Pilates is a low-impact exercise system designed to strengthen muscles, improve posture, enhance flexibility, and build core stability. Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century (hence the name), it has evolved over time to meet a variety of needs. At Move with Mollie, we’re grounded in the classical Pilates method and its six key principles—Concentration, Control, Precision, Flow, Centering, and Breath—while also incorporating some modern touches and contemporary styles to keep the practice fresh and enjoyable.

Pilates is for everyone, regardless of ability, shape, size, or experience. It’s all about adapting the practice to work for you.

WHY MOVE WITH MOLLIE?

it's so much more than a workout

You might come to classes at MWM with one goal in mind, but over time, you'll begin to notice the small yet powerful changes Pilates can make to your overall well-being. Because Pilates is so much more than just a workout.

"Pilates is the complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit." – Joseph Pilates

At Move With Mollie, we believe in celebrating our bodies and all the amazing things they do for us, while still working toward our personal goals—whatever they may be. Classes are accessible to all, with options to modify, progress, or regress as needed. You’ll never feel like you're just waiting for the next exercise; I’ll always honor your needs and ensure you feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Community is at the heart of what we do at MWM, and I’m incredibly proud of the community we’ve been building over the last four years. It’s a growing group of amazing, like-minded yet uniquely individual people who are passionate about moving their bodies and nurturing their minds. Alongside your weekly practice, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with MWM, from monthly wellness workshops and community socials to seasonal retreat days. Soon enough, you’ll realize that Pilates has become more of a lifestyle than just a movement practice.
